  • ICT Strategic Planning
    • LMRHA staff are available to members to assist in the production and documentation of a strategic ICT plan for the health service 
  • Advocacy 
    • LMRHA will seek funding for strategic regional initiatives.
  • Representation
    • LMRHA will represent its members at state ICT forums such as HealthSmart committees and other state and national fora
  • Standards and policy development for infrastructure and ICT practice
    • LMRHA will review the existing policy and standards documentation for internet access and usage, email usage, infrastructure, network routing, video confernce standards
  • Email
    • This service has not been taken up by all members but from this financial year is considred to be a core service
  • Wide Area Network
    •  LMRHA will provide the wide area network to enable members to access each other in a trusted private network, and to access relevant HealthSmart applications
  • Network management and monitoring
    • all network routers are monitored 24x7 and have a SLA for response to the reporting of an issue and for resolution of the issue (there are slight variations in the SLA depending on the site of the service), and core switches are either covered direclty by LMRHA maintenacen contracts or members are reimbursed for the cost of the provison of maintenance services to ensure 24x7 availability.
  • Internet services
    • a guaranteed minimum bandwidth
    • Email and internet access
    • secure remote access to LMRHA networks and member services
    • content, virus and spam filtering
  • Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
    • LMRHA proivdes an outsourced managed call manager environment to support members' use of VoIP.  Not all members have taken up this service.
  • Video Conference
    • LMRHA provides an outsourced  managed video conference environment which includes support for desktop and room based video conferencing, in addition to the support of our ViTCCU Telehealth environments
  • Implementation of HealthSmart products and other DHS policies and strategies. This will include:
    • representing members at appropriate forums
    • advising members about progress, opportunities, issues, options, etc
    • coordinating activities related to planning and implementation
    • managing implementations (NOTE: costs for major projects are outside core services)
  • Joint Procurement
    • the Lead Agency may, on behalf of the LMRHA, purchase ICT related products for members
