Funding
There is a $2.25million commitment to the LMRHA CC2C project - including $1.6m from the Victorian Government's Broadband Innovation Fund.
The Broadband Innovation Fund
The Victorian Government has established the Broadband Innovation Fund (BIF) to support the innovative use of broadband technology in delivering public services. BIF has had $15 million allocated over three years to provide government agencies with funding for leading edge technology projects in areas such as health and education. BIF projects demonstrate that broadband technologies can significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of government service delivery, while also improving the availability of high bandwidth infrastructure, particularly in regional areas. BIF is a strategy of the Victorian government's Broadband Framework, the vision for positioning Victoria as the smartest and most strategic user of broadband technology in Australia.
