Computerworld Laureates Award for LMRHA

LMRHA has been named in the 2009 Computerworld Honors Laureates. This international award is part of the the Computerworld Honors Program, honoring those who use information technology to benefit society.

LMRHA is proud to announce that it has been selected as a 2009 Computerworld Honors Program Laureate, in the Healthcare category for its project "Providing critical care support to Regional and Rural areas of Victoria, Australia through video conferencing"

LMRHA was nominated for this award by Polycom for its Virtual Trauma and Critical Care Unit (VitCCU) project.

LMRHA recognises the unique opportunity provided by the Computerworld Honors Program by enabling the benifits of its VitCCU project to a be highlighted to the wider international audience.

As part of the selection process LMRHA was asked to provide a case study for submission to the Computerworld Honors Program Global Archives. Information gathered as part of the Case Studies becomes available to researchers, students and scholars through www.cwhonors.org, and through digital records housed in national archives in over 100 universities, museums and research institutions throughout the world.
