Loddon Mallee Health Alliance has been named winner of the ATUG 2009 Broadband Award for the Effective Use of Broadband in Health for its Virtual Trauma and Critical Care Unit (ViTCCU) project.

The Australian Telecommunications Users Group (ATUG) recently announced the winners of its Annual Telecommunications Excellence Awards and Effective Use of Broadband Awards at a gala evening on the 12th March 2009.
The Effective Use of Broadband Awards recognise the outstanding use of the power of advanced communications services and true broadband in making a real difference in Business, Government, Community, Health and Education.
Loddon Mallee Health Alliance was awarded for its excellence in the area of Health, having two of its current projects short-listed in this category.
Up against other strong entries from around Australia, LMHA was successful in the Effective Use of Broadband in Health category with its Virtual Trauma and Critical Care Unit (ViTTCU) project taking out the top award.
LMHA achieved further success with its Connecting Clients 2 Care (CC2C) project recieveing the Highly Commended award in this category.
